 COOTIE CRAFT

Build this little pond craft for a youngster in one day. No oars or paddles needed, since the craft is paddled by hand. However, with a beam of only 2’, the Cootie Craft could be a little tippy. Make certain the captain is wearing a life jacket.

I wonder what kind of fishing boat Cootie Craft would make if we increased her dimensions about 90%. I think she would be a lot more stable. Good math exercise, too.

The Cootie Craft may be left in the natural color of the wood and varnished or painted with one or more colors. In either case, it should be sanded as smooth as possible and first dressed with a mixture of linseed oil thinned with turpentine.
